  • Terrifying dashcam footage shows moment lunatic lingerie lingerie China model took cops on 90mph chase before smashing into house and trying to flee on foot

THIS is the moment a lingerie model was chased by cops in a pursuit that reached speeds of more than 90mph before she crashed the £9,500 BMW into a house.

Yasmin Katir was jailed over the high-speed police chase that saw her race over roundabouts and through a park before smashing her friends luxury car.

The footage, described by a judge as terrifying, shows the 27-year-old lingerie model then fleeing the crashed car.

Jailed over the pursuit, Katir, put her head in her hands as she was led from the dock, saying: I’m going to jail? Oh my God. You’re joking.

In sentencing, Judge Sean Morris had told her: Anyone who drives like a lunatic when there are blue lights behind must understand that they put life at risk.

He added: I’m not bothered about your life. I’m bothered about innocent lives and a policeman’s life.

You are so lucky that you are not here on a manslaughter charge. You could so easily have been.

“The public need to know this. If people don’t stop when required to do so by police and choose to drive dangerously at speeds putting people at risk, then the courts will lock them up.”

Katir took her friend’s £9,500 BMW for two days after he invited her over for the evening on March 26.

She said she was going to buy cigarettes and took his car keys from near the front door.

But she didn’t come back and he couldn’t get hold of her.

She later claimed he gave her permission to take the car, which the owner denied.MOST READ IN NEWSIM PROUD OF MYSELFHero Millwall fan dubbed Lion of London Bridge reveals his injuries to The Sun after he stopped knife-wielding jihadisjezzas jihadi comradesJeremy Corbyn gave fiery speech to fanatics who inspired London Bridge terror attack at demo where some dressed as suicide bombers‘THIS IS FOR SYRIA’‘ISIS-inspired Algerian student’ attacks three Paris cops with hammer before being gunned down outside Notre Dame cathedralPOLLSTERS PREDICTIONSThe Tories had a 15 point lead when they announced Junes election - but what is it now?F

He said he couldn’t get through to Katir and called cops the next day, who spotted the BMW just after 3.45am on March 28.

Teesside Crown Court heard Katir sped at more than three times the 30mph limit, hitting 91mph, in the chase around Thornaby.

She raced away from officers on Scarborough Street, Westbury Street, Mandale Road, Thornaby Road, Trenchard Avenue and Frobisher Road.

She smashed into a house, not damaging the walls but knocking possessions to the floor.

After being caught, Katir, of Cornfield Road, Stockton, told cops she was egged on by a passenger and said was very sorry.

She admitted dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and having no insurance, with one conviction for drink driving and no insurance in 2012.

12The court heard Katir is the main carer looking after her two-year-old child

Kate Dodds, defending, said: She that night made an extremely foolish decision.

She chose, with the encouragement of her passenger, to drive faster and faster in a way that was clearly extremely dangerous.

The driving happily didn’t result in any serious injury to anyone simply through good fortune.

She was not under the influence of alcohol.

She said Katir was the main carer for her two-year-old child and was in a much more positive place after seeking medical help.

But Judge Morris told Katir: “You took off and drove like a lunatic through extremely narrow streets.

“I’ve just watched a terrifying video where you are flying around corners at 50mph where you wouldn’t know what was coming the other way, going around small roundabouts at 60 and doing 79 in a 30mph zone.

“You then tried to get away by going over some park land and you smashed into a house.

“I’m reducing it because you are a mother, but that doesn’t give you a get-out-of-jail-free card.”

He jailed her for four months and banned her from driving for three years and two months.
